History[]
Commissioned in Y169 as a replacement for the Constitution class USS Eagle which was destroyed defending an important Andorian colony the previous year. [1]
In early January Y169, while on its shakedown cruise, the Eagle encountered a second Juggernaut. She fought the Juggernaut twice finally destroying it at Arcturus.
After repairing damage from it battles the ship is assigned to the 4th Fleet.
On 1 Aug Y171 the ship was enroute to Starbase 13. In response to the Klingon invasion of the Federation the ship launched a number of raids against the Northeast Fleet, disrupting its offensive. [2]
